Bolts have released an announcement with the other NE DA Clubs

      https://myemail.constantcontact.com/...id=0hXuGmVA7lI

So looks like NE DA clubs are looking to come up with a joint solution. Possibly they will doing the new MLS league which indicates that it will include the non MLS league academies

So 10 former DA clubs from the northeast got together to try to save themselves and this is the best they could do for an email? Looks like some fine work from “Angry BA” after swallowing far too much amber liquid. What a disgusting slob. Bye bye, Bolts, but we can’t say anyone is sad to see you go you stupid dinks.

I hope all the Bolts DA players decide to play NPL and ruin a couple of your weekends per season by stomping your mediocre players team.

there are really a few major questions that remain unanswered that will have a big impact on boys soccer in the area:
                    (1) the MLS teams are creating a new "youth platform"--but what ages will be included? Will it reach all the way down to U12? Or will it just include somthing like U16/U17 and up? The answer to that question will have significant impact on the other clubs in this area and their operations.

                    (2) will the new MLS-based "platform" include any of the non-MLS teams in this area (Bolts and Seacoast)? The Bolts announcement does not seem to be optimistic on this front, but removing them would leave Revs teams will relentless travel schedules (and therefore higher costs).

                    (3) a big one: will the new MLS based league still be free, like the DA was? That question is directly relevant to question (1) above, and will obviously impact the player pool. These academies are costly to operate, and the Revs ownership does not have a great history of spending $$ to support development--they were essentially coerced by US soccer to push down to lower age groups. Whatever happens going forward, look for the Revs to do the bare minumum.

Do you really think owners that charges $12 for a beer will let kids in their league play for free?

                          1) It's only U15 and U17.

                          2) They are going to invite non-MLS clubs in, but considering that the MLS clubs were in on the decision to wipe out DA while keeping the non-MLS DA clubs in the dark, there is a huge amount of resentment out there so most of the now ex-DA clubs are more likely to move to ECNL or EDP than to this new MLS run league.

                          3) Hell no it won't be free. MLS are businesses, not charities. Furthermore, they themselves are in deep financial holes right now due to the shutdown of play. Up to half of them are going to fold their pro teams. Forget about funding youth teams.

They don't care to spend a penny on players headed to college. If you haven't been identified by U17 then you can hit the bricks and don't ever come back.

Their only interest is in obtaining local players cheap for their MLS teams and to make money. They have zero interest in getting people into college.
