Yes the Dems plotted with governments around the world to take down Trump. The media is making up the numbers.

Christ if they were that good they should run the country.

You are an idiot! On the ground we know there aren’t enough tests that’s why the government isn’t testing everyone right now. If we can’t test the living we can’t test the dead so that 380 death number is a fantasy. The real number is much higher and we may never know really how high.

Even using the flawed numbers we can see this is taking a bad direction. We had 100 deaths three weeks ago on March 2, today on March 22 we have nearly 400. Italy had 100 days on Feb 23 and 400 by March 5. Italy now has 600-800 PER day so we are two weeks behind them and we are a much bigger country. You could be looking at 1,000+ dead Americans PER day within 3 weeks. Exponential growth is how pandemics work.

And just because someone doesn’t die, doesn’t mean that they are all Ok. This virus is putting thousands into critical care because it is damaging their lungs and causing collateral damage to other organs as a result. You don’t get lesions on your lungs or suffer a cytokine (antibody overload) event without permanent damage. So every day thousands of Americans are being disabled by this virus.

You are so worried about the economy, but no one in their right mind is going to go to work or spend money when people are sick and dying around them. Trump (or anybody) could say just ignore this and go back to work, but people aren’t idiots (like you), they won’t unnecessarily put themselves at risk.

Finally, thank God for the free media. It’s the only truth you are going to hear. Just lies coming out of Trump’s mouth.

          Separate viruses.

Flu has a mortality rate of .1%; Covid is 1-3% (data varies by country). People have some immunity from flu from prior illness. There's a vaccine. Healthcare workers get flu vaccines to protect themselves and patients. None of that exists with Covid.

Italy is losing hundreds a day. Italy has 60M people. Do the math. We will hit 12K in no time

You do the math idiot fear monger. How many people die for normal flu in US each year? Hint. Many more than $12k. Almost double. We have about 380 nation wide deaths almost all elderly with underlying health conditions from this flu which will burn itself out in 60 days. And then a lot of fear mongers are going to look really stupid as they stare at a destroyed economy that will have far worse consequences than this BS fire alarm

Clubs that don't refund some money will lose in the end.

Italy has a population where 25% of its country is over the age of 65. Second oldest country in the world. A large majority of their deaths are centered around the oldest section of their country. Their healthcare system isn’t even a quarter of what ours is. Moving on this is serious but it equates to having severe pneumonia with a severe flu. Which if you didn’t know also causes damage to other organs, if not properly treated. 85% of those who have been diagnosed experience minimal to no symptoms. That’s from the CDC, not from webmd. Of the other 15% 65% are 60 and over. Also of that 15% 69% have had a pre existing condition such as diabetes and/or asthma. There are more positive tests because there are simply more tests being administered. Again, CDC info, 295,000 tests administered and 20,000 positives. Do the math. You will continue to see a spike in positives due to the continued increase I testing, which is the best cure for this. .

That said. STAY THE F HOME. WASH YOUR FING HANDS.

Check out what the Surgeon General has to say. The stats in the US are coming in differently than other countries who have already experienced this. It's not the elderly with the highest documented infection rate in the US.

That is true, it's just that the elderly are more likely to die from it. Even then the survival rate for the worst group, >80 years old, is 85%. Many younger people closer to our ages, say 40-65, are getting seriously ill from it but aren't as likely to die. People are in the hospital for up to a month. As beds and supplies start running out outcomes will get worse.

The US has 30M people aged 70+. If 20% of them get it over the next several months that's 6M sick, just for that age group, over 600K hospitalizations (assuming current international rates of 10%) and approximately 350,000 deaths (6% mortality).

I don't know about you all, but my parents are stressed out. They're pretty healthy for their 75 years or so and still very active, but both have common age related medical conditions that put them at higher risk. They normally winter in FL but didn't this year because one needed a minor operation. I'm so glad they're here right now, for many reasons

Unfortunately 60% of the US is obese ,diabetic or both, then add elderly, smokers and you see the problem.
