I can't stand, for example, NASCAR. So, where you won't find me is on a thread about NASCAR complaining about NASCAR. Get a grip. Find what works, and do it.
Why spend your days wallowing in misery? Seems so counter-productive.

Enjoy you perfect situation and appreciate that others would like to find similar. Just because you are not struggling with too much travel for poor quality soccer, too high fees and travel expenses, gigantic rosters leading to much unhappiness across the board on the team and all the other issues out here, does not mean a lot of other players are so lucky.

Travel = same as in the "other league", but more than the lower leagues. I'd prefer to see them combined, but that will never happen. So, we try to enjoy it and look at it as time away together, as a family.
Fees = Same as before, and actually went DOWN from previous years as other trainings were offset by going all into DA (i.e. less personal training, summer camps, futsal, etc.)
Rosters = 16 isn't gigantic
Unhappiness = Nothing is perfect, but overall mood is very good. Outliers will always complain. Again, there's a solution to that: Leave.
Prioritize what is important, find the best fit, and go there. More important...be happy.

And here you are, continuing to tell everyone who disagrees with you what to think, what to say and what to do.

You don't seem to have minimal capacity to understand or appreciate the many players that are very poorly served by the current situation in girls so-called " high level" youth soccer. Glad you are happy but there is real element of ignorance is bliss to your posts.
We all have players out here learning, improving and loving soccer but we don't have be blind to the issues and hopeful that the environment to improve.

No, I fully understand not everyone is happy. What I don't understand is:
1) Why don't you do what makes you happy?
2) Why were you surprised and at this point now?
3) What is your reasoning behind trying to spread your unhappiness onto others? If others are also unhappy, will that make you feel better?
Nobody is forced to do anything, so everyone is free to choose the path which best fits them. Again, I encourage you to do just that. Because, I can guarantee your kid's teammates will be better off for it. Nobody wants to play with a complainer, and nobody on the sideline wants to be near one, either.
You put your kid in a position that doesn't work for them. You feel bad, so you are lashing out about it. Just go. Trust me, you'll be happier and likely your kid will be as well.

LOL, and you are clearly not. So, once again, I encourage you to choose a path that makes you happy. Your child will thank you for it later.
Really, I don't see what's so hard about that?

I’m also not so naive to think that changing teams would fix the problem, rather, it would probably fix one and create another. I pick the team that fits my D the best, not what badge they put on the uniform.
So, she's happy, you are not. Sounds like you either need to get on board, or risk her happiness for your own.

I couldn't imagine doing this any other way.

I took a few minutes and looked at the ECNL club map and compared it to GDA. ECNL has 96 teams, plus 5 new for next year (Real Colorado x2, Courage, Texans, United (GA)). That's 101.
If ECNL truly wanted try to kill GDA (outside of southern CA) they could do it with a handful more key defections:
South East- Top Hat
Mid Atlantic- FC Virginia and 1 or 2 of Penn Fusion, PA Classics or Pipeline (Baltimore Armor)
North East- NEFC
Mid West- Cincinnati Development Academy and Nationals
Texas-Solar, FC Dallas and 1 of either OK Energy or Lonestar.
So that's 7-10 teams (pushing the league to about 112, depending on Solar & Top Hat getting 2 team deals) and GDA would be all but done from a quality of club and travel perspective.
That would just leave CA where GDA is still very strong with Surf, Galaxy, Legends, Beach & Albion. In the end if ECNL wins the league could end up at about 120 teams once CA is factored in.
