NC Courage and United Futbol (GA) are out. Another division just became a lot less appealing from a competitive quality and traveling standpoint.

They didn't used to be. USSF decided another giant national league was just what we needed to improve girls soccer. It's really working out well for them.

The USWNT will still pull from GDA. US Soccer is probably happy that the player pool is getting smaller in GDA. They can easily field a team with the best players in the country that are on GDA teams.

The USWNT will still pull from GDA. US Soccer is probably happy that the player pool is getting smaller in GDA. They can easily field a team with the best players in the country that are on GDA teams.

But it isn't shrinking. They just add new but weaker clubs. Not all those NT picks are because those are the best players.

Courage is a HUGE loss for DA.. They are competitive across all age groups. This has me very concerned..

Why are top clubs like NEFC and SSS not allowed into the ECNL? Clearly these clubs compete at whatever league level they’re in. Especially with such a dense population of people that can afford club level soccer throughout the state. What are the specific politics involved that keeps them out?
