It doesn’t matter what GPS team your kid is on. You are a big part of the problem if you are still with the club.

There are clubs that pay a fair wage for good coaches. Time for coaches and players to find new homes.

My kids are at NEFC. While there may be internationals coaching somewhere in NEFC, I personally haven't met one. My kids have always had US coaches, and from what I understand, NEFC costs a fair amount less than GPS. So I disagree with your hypothesis.

Holy crap. This blew the lid off GPS. If any decent coaches that can legally work in the U.S. actually decide to stay with GPS next year, then it is only because they have Stockholm syndrome. Seriously, guys, time to see a psychiatrist.

This isn’t rocket science. A giant hedge fund does not care about you or your kid one bit. Time for everyone at GPS to find a new club to play for. At this point you would be an absolute idiot not to move on. If you stay you will just remain a cog in a piece of evil machinery.

This is much worse than I ever realized. I feel stupid. Our family have encouraged literally dozens of players to join GPS. Never again.

GPS & CETUSA - Match made in heaven
A little google search to discover who the company GPS uses to place coaches on these J1 Visas and the first report you find is this.
http://www.guestworkeralliance.org/w...estigation.pdf
Sounds like a match made in heaven for both parties, can you imagine being a worker in the middle of your GPS management screaming at you to work longer hours for no pay, then when you go to confide with the J1 Comapny they also threaten you.
I’m sure this was a fruitful money making ponzo scheme for both involved.
This story keeps propping up more and more crazy things.

Reading this and learning how GPS has both abused their coaches and preyed upon young players and their families in order to boost profits leaves me with a feeling of sadness and also anger. These were acts of betrayal against the families that pay them to teach soccer as well as the hard working coaches. I must say that I am truly disgusted by this.

This was a perfect storm of greedy scumbags and scam artists working together to exploit cheap foreign labor and ridiculously naive parents who continuously refused to recognize the warning signs. Imagine how some of these coaches must have felt bending over backwards day after day to teach Jenny and Jonny how to kick a ball while getting paid no more the a few bucks a day. That must have been painful.

I find it amusing that the normal denizens of this board, a number of whom enjoy anonymously bullying, berating, and/or demeaning people (and their kids), are now being displaced by actual "people" who've been brought here by the news. It's like this board is turning into what it was supposed to be in the first place.

I have sent the news and relevant tweets to Mass Youth Soccer and also sent it to the town soccer president.
We have to fight for what’s right.
