DA Tier 1 and 2 is a true reflection of how dense GDA directors are!

How do you give California 4 tier 1 teams in a division w 14 total teams? And give everyone
else 4 Tier 1 teams in divisions of 9 teams? I would understand if they were in a weak division
But this is absolutely stupidity! These people the administrators ,are the reasons why DA is failing. Look for Cali clubs to jump ship. You can thank those people making these brite decisions!

Hadn’t thought of it that way but, you’re right, it doesn’t sound good.

It became very clear a long time ago USSF has no idea what it's doing. There's enough depth in BDA to do 2 tiers, but certainly not in GDA. They're grasping at straws at this point. They're cutting some FL clubs, which is obviously needed, but doing it so last minute that clubs and players will have to scramble to find something else suitable.

Just step 1 in the plan to consolidate. It's actually the first thing the Federation has gotten right.

Totally agree that GDA is too big. With all the scholarship $ USSF has spread thinly around the league, they would have been better served to assist the NWSL clubs with setting up academies. If GDA is truly a development platform for pros and USWNT there is need for more clubs than NWSL has teams. Training thousands when hundreds will do makes no sense.

Of course it's way too big, everyone has been saying that since before it even began. But if that is the plan, why add more clubs for next season? Supposedly a few are being cut and others are dropping out. But the ones who have dropped or will be dropping out aren't the clubs they want to lose. The ones they're adding not only aren't every strong but they won't be given much of a chance to prove themselves. They'd be better off admitting the mistakes and cutting bait now. Clubs and families are looking for some degree of confidence in where this is going, if it will even survive.

Will always be a struggle until US Soccer takes over the entire system.
