Northeast Girls NPL had a u12 division. This is the same. Just re-naming the old NE NPL

Winning is secondary. Competing should be the priority

It's not just that, it's better. It's Elite. It was just Premier before.

If you win every game, you're in the wrong league. (Or wait, don't tell me, your kid and his teammates are all future galacticos among fiats, and there is no competition within the borders of this second-rate soccer nation that can adequately test them?)

Exactly. Stupid sideline parents can't understand that though.

Has to be a balance. Losses are fine as long as 1) the team was competitive 2) the players are learning from the experience.

If you're losing every game, same thing - wrong league.

OMG--here we go again with the drama over what words are used in league names... who cares? New England "Premiership", Girls "Development" Academy, ECNL, NPL... If they called it "Premier Clubs National League" would you hate it less?

The vast majority of families look for a good club, with as many quality coaches as possible (because your kid likely won't be coached by the same person for their entire club experience) and if they end up on one of the top teams, then they may be playing in one of these leagues...

Saying the comment "It's not just that, it's better. It's Elite. It was just Premier before" was sarcasm that went over people's heads.
