Quote from a friend of mine who has a D on his team.

"Going really well. We play pretty basic though. A couple of big backs and two speedy forwards who are really talented. When it gets tough, they just launch it up there and let the two forwards go to work."

Have not seen it directly myself.

        Sounds like winning soccer.

Far too many experts in the world of soccer now; my d or son play and even though I’ve never kicked a ball, I know all the different tactics and style of play because I spend Sundays at Lancaster.

Like all the talking heads on the cable channels.

Sounds like the person was caught in his own version of alternative facts. Now it's a friend of a neighbor through a daughter.

Different poster. I mentioned the friend... Oh, and I'm also the one mocking Leicester and what is seen in Lancaster as making someone an expert. Why not just say you stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and be done with it?

I missed the Leicester Lancaster debate, and I have no idea what you mean about Holiday Inn Express.

I’m the poster you’re with whom you’re jousting-thanks for playing.
And if I’d seen the light and saved my money, I’d own holiday inn express

Or he must be a good coach. One or the other.

                        Wow. Tied and didn't qualify?

4 kids each on this team from one college and their coach is on the national team coaching staff.

It won't hurt us with the full team but this is the result when youth club coaches are allowed to stuff the system full of their own players. We can debate all day about development but then the system is choked off because of homers with connections pushing their own players onto these teams. Maybe it's not development problems but maybe a potential problem is something else?

                          Please stop.

                          1. Of the kids that PLAYED minutes. how many from the schools you list ?
                          2. What college is Heinrichs linked to ?
                          3. What college is Klimkova linked to ?
                          4. why would a college coach who gets zero income from the USSF relative to his/her school salary, want to lose players at a critical time to sit on the bench for the U20s? They get paid towin games in College

you are talking utter nonsense. its highly likely that the some of the best players will be at or attending the top soccer schools like UCLA,Stanford, UVa etc .

You are missing the point. nice recruiting tool to say you are "connected' to the NT. may have helped the coach get these players

Works for Stars too! 3 kids on thee national team from that U17 team? No other player from the entire Northeast region including NJ,NY, PA and New England but Stars has 3? No offense to those kids, they should all be proud of themselves and are all good. However that team barely beat Scorps and lost to at team Scorps tied at Nationals. And Scorps was pretty average which means so is Stars.

The connected coaches care about their programs at home and the marketing that sneaking their players onto those teams brings. If a flawed and mediocre selection process builds the roster, then the results will be flawed and mediocre.
