Do you think that's pretty? Very few college teams turn on the charm. UConn tries and they just got the rear ends handed to them by a Route 1 team in NCAA's.

In high school you have your entire school cheering for you (not 10 psycho parents), there is platoon subbing with high pressure, and I don't care what anyone says the aggression level is wayyy higher. A 16 year olds stress level is through the roof.

90% of the starters in the final play NPL level soccer but to have them all grow up together, play together then get it done is a very special task.

Congratulations to Wellesley, Ludlow, last years winner, next years winner......

    In summary: Parents ruin sports.
Besides the obvious troll who saying that Ludlow is a flopping team, exactly which comments do you greatly disagree with? Or is it no longer okay to come on and Give opinions that happened to be pretty accurate in most cases? Here's a news flash for you dad, the kids know exactly what their teams are. So if you're blowing smoke up their butt, they know that too.
And fwiw, I was at the New Hampshire final,. There were three times as many fans there. And it was easily the best high school game I've ever seen, both excitement wise and soccer wise. I'm guessing at least three or four eventual college division 1 players. Literally the rest of the players would play division 2. They were that good. The point is there is something dramatically different from Massachusetts high school soccer and the soccer I saw that night. And it'll stay that way as long as dads like you keep giving trophies for every fart their kid lays.

Agree 100 percent. No question that winning a HS state championship will top any club accolades. There is just more meaning behind it. Does anyone disagree? Who cares if club soccer is better or not. No one will remember there club team winning a thanksgiving tournament....they will remember winning the State title.

Take a breath. Talent ebbs and flows thru the years. It’s not indicative of anything more than that. Some strong players may stay in DA or get hurt thru a season. Some decide to not play....lots of reasons why level of play could be down. It’s not like NH has the secret ingredient and puts out any more talent than Ma. ok dad?

Only 21 coaches? You must be with the wrong program. My kid stays in contact with 33 coaches...There is a kid in central mass that was the leading goal scorer in D1 that does not play club. He is getting recruited by low level D1 colleges. So if you are talented they will find you regardless of where u play. I need for DA. Just a name....

Newsflash. There are state titles in club! But if you are from Western mass the low league you play in never would get a sniff of that.

Wow thanks for the update. I completely forgot my kid has played in 3 state cup finals and won 1. Absolutely no comparison to the significance of winning club vs HS. Cmon you can’t be serious are you? The only people that cared about winning were the families and the club. Outside of the parents that had no interest in moving on in play to travel to Virginia over 4th of July weekend to play. I’m not from Ludlow or western mass for that matter. Ludlow has won more state championships than most towns. I think 26....keep enjoying your low level elite nep state cup championship.

The question you should be asking is how is my son going to become the best possible player (presuming that he is content). Not how does he get the most exposure. Many DA players simply become bench riders.

There are many ways to get exposure. We chose to leave DA to play club and high school. Without a doubt the best decision we could have made. I know several others who did the same.

Sorry but actually you are wrong and it comes back to the club vs. high school thing. NH GPS is located in Bedford NH and many of the players play for nearby high schools. They get their primary training thru GPS. This isn't an ad for GPS. I live in northern Mass. I only inquired about such things after seeing the NH championship game and being so impressed by the quality of play. If Ludlow played either of the two NH finalists, the game would have been over within 10 minutes.

And my primary beef with the previous post was someone(you) crying about posters coming on this site and giving colorful opinions that rubbed them (you) the wrong way. As I probably just did. Well, welcome to the internet.

I have to ask, how many of those 33 coaches have come to watch your kid? How many have come more than once?

Have any traveled more than 500 miles to watch your kid?

When you say your kid stays in "contact" with 33 does that mean he/she gets camp invite emails, or real and productive dialogue?

Good luck to the Central MA kid but other kids have higher aspirations and are succeeding because of DA.

LMAO. You Western MA kick and Chase flopper. We all know you are on a ****ty Western ma team. Nice try though loser. I hate washed up dad's whose kids ride the bench who have no life. They are such pathetic losers. Go on a soccer blog to argue with teenage boys (probably your own kid cause he knows what a joke u are so he's messing with you. The fact that you are a grown ass man on this site is humiliating. You are a disgrace and embarrassment to your family and high school. Go get a life of your own and try talking to your exwife or your kid. Nobody ****ing cares about high school soccer but my friends and I did enjoy trolling the LOSER parents on here. It's crazy the **** u headcases write. Please get off your precious TS for the holidays. Your kids are ashamed of you. Parents like you is what is wrong youth sports. Take the passion you have arguing with teenagers and other crazy parents and put it into your therapy or family.

DA is the answer to this question. He practices 3-4 times per week with his team in season. He trains privately 1 day a week in season and 3 days a week in the off season. He routinely works on his own as well. He plays against a majority of the top talent in the region in season and expands that to national talent at showcases. He plays futsal while high school players run track or play basketball.

How many high school players ride the bench? I bet that percentage is higher, unless you take into account that they go to local D3 schools with middling soccer programs. That wouldn't appeal to my son at all.

Many people "leave" DA because their kids were "bench riders." I'm glad it worked out for your family, though. Good luck with the exposure piece.

Poor, bitter parent of an Eastern MA kick and Chase flopper, can't face the fact that a Western MA team was that much better at soccer, than their team was.

Newsflash NO ONE CARES ABOUT WESTERN MA Soccer. The kids are just straight bad and the patents even know this. Get a grip and move on with your trash lives. If you stopped arguing on this website so much and actually worked hard maybe you could move out of Western Mass. Untill then don’t talk.
