Wellesley had a great season and your comments are a sad reflection of what you are. Wellesley started off a bit poorly but after about 6 games pulled it together and had a fantastic rest of the season. I too was surprised to see that they went as far as they did, but....they did and deserve huge credit. Having seen a couple of wellesley games, one huge inaccuracy of your comment is about the parents. Not at all loud or obnoxious.

That said, the quality of soccer in the eastern part of the state was variable and weak. There were times during which some great play occurred, however, as described above, there was quite a bit of sweeper-play-send-it-kick-and-run ball.

I hadn't seen Ludlow play, but Wellesley had some very good play mixed up with some panic play. I don't know if any player stood out in eastern mass. Overall, goalies seem to be the top players.

Ludlow was clearly more talented. Wachusett would have handled Wellesley as well. The east was down this year.

ludlow flopped repeatedly against wachusett. the ludlow striker was given a yellow card for flopping. the final free kick was awarded as a result of a flop and a great misdirection play on the free kick confused the wachusett goalie and ludlow won with 11 seconds left. flopping is what gives a great sport a bad reputation.

Ludlow grad from years ago. The Two best teams in state this year I saw are ludlow and Wachusett. That game could of went either way. I though Wachusett was much better than Wellesley and more dangerous too. Way to bring the title back lions !!

That’s great but Wellesley striker is better and as a team they as superior especially in their attack and movement. They outclassed a lot of teams this year in the tournament. Though I don’t think it’ll be a 5-0 win. I think Wellesley will win 2-0 or 3-1.

Physicality is your concern? They play in the Baystate league which is loaded with quality and athletic ability. They have been challenged physically every game this year in the league. Ludlow should be concerned about a complete opponent who is well coached and has little to no flaws. I expect Wellesley to win by 2 goals on Saturday.

Can you read? I don't usually come to high school games. For fear of exactly something like this. I figured the championship would have to be better. There has been one shot on net so far. And that was Ludlow. Score 0-0 at the half. I will give Ludlow credit that they can at least play. But I see nothing from Wellesley. Not a kid on the field that could play division 2 college soccer.

I find that last sentence hard to believe. Surely there was not that much lack of quality on the field today.

You have to be stretching the truth a bit there. Do you really think that nobody from the team could help a college like St. Anselm (maybe St. mikes? I forget which) who were one of the worst D2 teams in the country this year? I'm asking, I wasn't at the game.

Ludlow dominated majority of the first half. Ludlow has some seriously skilled players. Anyone know who #10 is going for college? Best skilled player on the field....
