Au contraire...having seen the Mustangs in action over the years they are at best a middle-of-the-road team in the TVL. Simply not a soccer town.

And the girls will end up 11th. Impossible to be worse than Bellingham but that is about it.

No. Winchester is another very strong team....and one that would not be 'smoked' by any division 1 team.
My point regarding Needham was in response to the one who besmirched them and their season last year. In the end, they ended up having a good season...

Regarding the Baystate, a look at the tournament shows that their teams did well.
In north Brookline and Framingham went pretty far with Brookline losing in the north finals and framingham losing in the semifinals.
In the south, needham lost in the finals, weymouth in the semifinals.

It is a strong league.

The DCL might have a legitimate say in which league is the best in the state. In the past 4 years, they've had a state champion in each of the top 3 divisions:

2017: Concord-Carlisle (D2)
2016: Wayland (D3)
2015: Lincoln-Sudbury (D1)
2014: Concord-Carlisle (D2), Wayland (D3)

Concord-Carlisle has won 5 state championships since 2006, and have been to the state finals 6 times in that period. They have a good chance to repeat in 2018 with a loaded senior class.

The FC Stars coach had 2 players on his team from his HS. So unless they interpreted the rule wrong, something doesn't add up.

He had to switch teams because he's a coach at an ISL school, and the ISL rule is that your can't coach any of your players on s clutch team. The MIAA rule is different.

Yes, LT is back and enough around him to be favorites to repeat. Rankings are laughable. Last year Boston Globe & US coaches poll didn't even have Brockton listed for the most of the season. I'm sure the Globe has Nauset #1 in their rankings already!
