    Our truly top talent goes abroad anyway, as they should. Chances of better pay AND better professional development. Sure it doesn't always work out for them, but they can always come back here and play for MLS :).

    For, what, 80%? of BDA and almost all GDA it's pay to play. It's the nature of the beast in the U.s. Until that changes (not sure it will ever, definitely not in the next decade at least) we'll get what we get. Maybe next time we'll make it to Qatar.

      my point is they go abroad and the Club they leave gets very little or no compensation. The going abroad is not my issue. the incentive is.
