yet another drug scandal at Worcester Academy

For at least the second year in a row, WA Soccer program suspends multiple players for drugs, their best player is expelled after multiple offenses. WA has long been known as a party school, but with this being a known problem with the soccer program shouldn't the facility/coach bare some responsibility.

    Bare? No. Bear? Perhaps.

Don't know if this post is truthful or not but unlikely to be a news item. Who would know, and also want it to be in the press? The school? The students? No, and no. And no one else would be in the know.

If true, the poster is a parent or current student .

And you think this is only a WA problem. Any high school or prep school has the same issues today

Did not want to confirm this for fear of retaliation for my son. But with the season coming to a close I want to get the word out about the extent of this issue before other parents make the same mistake of sending their children to WA. We do have several players with drug problems. The issue is mixing elite kids with money and placing them in a very poor area of Worcester. They have access to any type of drug they want not just alcohol and pot. Just want to get the word out to warn parents before they make a bad decision. The administration and coaches turn a blind eye 95% of time.

Or just a bunch of kids with no self-control who could find drugs anywhere?

Sounds like any other private school I've come across. Or, actually, sounds like any school I've come across....

Hopefully they'll set up some of those safe injection sites on campus.

How is anyone going to retaliate against your son, since this is an anonymous forum and you didn't include any self-identifying information?

And if someone was able to identify you despite all of this, and wanted to retaliate, it certainly isn't too late for them to do so.

Aside from the don't ask don't tell policy, coach said we can come into his office for free needles and condoms.

Parents have no control over the upbringing of their children that they would be so easily led astray by the poor drug thugs of Worcester???

Who is going to believe claims made on this site to begin with? It's 98% entertainment with some occasional information tidbits. I would hope any family considering the school wouldn't pay much attention to this, or at least do some investigation on their own

You’re so right-every parent hopes their kids use drugs.
And no, after a certain point, you have no control over your child’s choices.
But please, post away about how you were so successful.

                              Regards,
Someone whose child was led astray.
And not by the “poor drug thugs of Worcester”
But by friends with parents in high places.
