They come with specific players in mind, most times players they have already been talking with. A U19 team is going to have a lot of seniors on it. Most D1 recruiting for seniors is done, certainly the money is gone at this point.

One way to look at it

Alistair has also coached in the PDL where he presided over 3 North East Division Championship titles & 5 playoff appearances in 7 years in the league. Looks to me like he knows a bit about coaching. The previous director left the club in disarray and it's going to take a little time to get some momentum.

Previous director was not going to win any personality contest but his teams (Westchester) left no question about who knows more about developing and coaching soccer players when the teams played a week ago.

The barometer is how younger players are faring since the new director's arrival. And it's a shame given the monopoly Seacoast has the area but since A.B.'s arrival, the skill level, reflected blatantly by the change in win/loss records has been steadily in decline. It doesn't take long for change to be affected for better or worse when new leadership takes over in soccer. Players have left and others that live in NH chose to stay away because they have eyes and ears.
