Originally posted by Unregistered View PostOP here. AST seems to be staying overseas playing for his club for now. He has been off the list for a while. JB is not on the Bryant roster. That happens to a few of the D1’s each season. I will report on all the D1’s as always in several weeks after the Ivies have played 5 games. Stay tuned.

2018 D1 Boys Starting a Lot
For those who are new, the first is a list of those who have started 50% or more of their team’s games so far.
Player/Team/G/GP/GS/G/A
Marcelo Lage/GW/6/6/6/0/1
James Swomley/Brown/4/4/4/-/-
Tyler Stott/BU/6/6/5/0/0
Andrew Stevens/Columbia/5/5/3/0/0
Kamar Nuhiu/Hartford/7/7/4/1/1
Cabrel Happi Kanseu/UVA/4/4/3/1/0
Ryan Clare/Princeton/6/6/3/0/0
James McPherson/UMass/8/6/6/2/3
Nathanial Cardozo/UMass/8/5/5/0/0
Graham Brenner/UMass/8/5/5/0/0
So 10 of 46 players committed are starting a lot. Around 20%. That may seem low but this is the best class in several years. 10 has been around the magic number for this stat. Congrats to these players.

2018 D1 Boys Subbing a Lot
The next category is for those who subbed into 50% or more of their team’s games so far.
Player/Team/Games/GP/GS/G/A
Mo Omar/ND/5/5/2/0/1
Nate Cole/BU/ 6/3/0/0/0
John Siracuse/BU/6/3/0/0/0
Ohad Yahalom/Dartmouth/5/3/0/0/0
Ahira Simons/Dartmouth/5/4/0/0/0
Tyler Mann/UML/7/4/0/0/0
Matt Leigh/Penn/5/4/0/0/0
Andrew Chisolm/7/4/0/1/1
Frantz Peirrot/StJoe’s/7/7/0/1/1
Joe Morrison/UVM/6/6/1/0/0
So another 10 played some. We are over 40%. Best class in years but what about the nearly 60%!? Congrats to these players.

Of the rest
No names here
5 players saw the field
15 Did not play
4 Not rostered
In most cases it does not get better for these players. Take note.

So a majority of Massachusetts D1 starters & heavily subbed in players also played high school soccer. Good to know.

Since the majority attend D3 schools....why not include them?
Fact is, most (99%) of the players are attending schools to get a job in 4 years. Would it not be informative to see who is playing and who isn't regardless of the division....or at least by division?
Ultimately, someone is going to ask....is it worth it? is it worth the DAP?
If the kid is getting on the field and playing a decent amount and getting a good education then I submit.....'it is worth it'

One difference is that are more local stars in the D3 than in D1 generally. If I have time, I may do D3 for this class. Right now I am off to do the other D1 classes.
