OP here. Agreed, just waiting for them to publish their lists. By next June we should have circa 40-50 D1's and close to 100 D3's.

I'm the OP for the last 8 seasons of this thread title and I gather you started this one. After I saw it languish for a month with a bunch of unlisted names I inquired on post #31 if you were going to continue. Now you have replied in your own inimitable way. Got it. See ya.

My apologies. I missed that post. Kudos to you for creating all these helpful threads. You're welcome to take this one too (if you'd like. I only created it because I didn't see one for 2018s and it seemed past due) and it's fine if you want to keep it restricted to players with MA origins. It's also in keeping with past threads so that we/you can maintain good stats. Again, my bad. Sorry for the unkind words as well.

Those folks will go on a newly created 2019 list.

NOT the OP, but that was nice of you to respond like this. TS in general is a cesspool, but this has been a great, civil thread for years. And the (O)OP has built up a worthwhile, trustworthy series of threads. It warms the heart that people can still apologize and not double down on the negative. Cheers.

Does bring up a good question, though that I've never understood. Is it for MA hometowns only, or MA clubs or MA colleges. CT prep school playing MA club going to a MA college, for example?

OOP here. I started with MA hometowns only, but after a lot of pressure added kids who play for MA prep schools like Berkshire. I don't prefer that myself, because you get players like Zeiko and Jack Harrison who were developed primarily O/S. When that happened the earlier folks complained about unfair comparisons and they were right. But it's been like that for 6 years and I would prefer to keep it that way for comparison purposes. My intent is to help families of HS freshman to juniors see what level of MA player goes where in college soccer.

Prep schools only promote international players or players that are genetically gifted. The biggest one lies and plays head games with 17-18 year old - that is both coaches and the headmaster. Now I see Jon Moodey had to get a job at another prep school BUT he could not get in on his own accord - an ex-Berk employee hired him. Parents beware.....
