That’s my point, switching at U13/U14 might not be worth it if you don’t stay on blue a couple years down the road. What was the point then of playing ECNL? I’m asking is it better to stay in GA until you know you’re good enough to be on blue when it actually matters.

Why,why, why would anyone switch to Blue ? If you are good enough to play for Blue then you will be seen by 100s of scouts in other venues.

Avoid the best and settle for less because you doubt yourself? Good message for your kids! Good tactic in life! (/s)

Take it as rude if you like. Point remains.

Cracking the roster is even harder later. And if you lose your spot then you really weren't Blue material. If you lose your spot you were probably a bottom 1/3 of the roster at U13 and didn't progress at the same rate as others.

That said, that U13 player with hard work, mental toughness and maybe some genetic luck could become a starter by U15. They'll never know without trying, butbthey have to want it nit you. Getting cut isn’t the end of the world and they're still a very good player that will land a good spot somewhere else. If you worry your kid isn't as mentally tough and would take getting cut hard, then perhaps don't.

Blue parents have got to be the most delusional people in the world. It’s not the national team, folks. My kid plays on her HS team with 2 blue players. Yes, they’re good. No, they’re not THAT good. Girls from other clubs contribute just as much. Their parents seem completely normal too. It’s got to just bring this board that draws in the lunatics.

It isn’t blue parents, it is parents and coaches from other clubs stirring the pot. This thread is dead. Players are with clubs they like and have one more meaningful year after this one. It’s been fun!

Don't buy what this guy is selling.

Blue has as much politics as any other club. It's not merit focused like they'd have you believe. Legacy kids, staff kids, multi sibling kids, etc, are all more important than merit.

Different topic here, but it boggles the mind that the New England conference allowed PDA White to walk and in the process, give up easy wins and a Champions League AQ. Stars Blue is going to regret dropping points to Scorpions. SUSA and WC will not.

Probably true - December games stink. Excited for a season of competitive games!

the post about how blue had no politics, that it was all rainbows and unicorns had to be an ironic parody right?

Kids are kids, coaches or coaches. It’s the same everywhere.
Except that some places it’s worse.

There are still 3 AQ spots, same as when PDA White was in the conference. WC, Blue, Scorpions, SUSA & CFC should run the table against White, FSA & East Meadow. Dropping points against any of those 3 will be a death sentence for Champions League qualification.

Top 3 will come down to what should be some very competitive games between those five. So far WC 2- CFC 1 & Blue 1- Scorpions 1 have been the only games.
