I'm sure there's a lot of losing and impotence for your family to endure. If you all were more ultracompetitive in reading comprehension, one of you would understand that "pride" in a "loss" was not at issue, but slobbering, ignorant, rah-rah pride in a *win* when you actually didn't play that well. But that's a matter for kids who are really driven to get to the next level in their sport, there's no need to interrupt your "Meet the Parent" volleyball game to explain.

Not to mention, parents who treat their children’s sporting events as their own entertainment, like they’re professionals playing for your enjoyment, are just pretty twisted. This site has some really gross and disturbing parents.

Different poster but the focus should be on development, especially in the years before HS. But parents use team records as a proxy for good coaching and pick clubs and teams based on it. The clubs know it so they so focus on that. That in turn creates the focus on talent acquisition

but select has super rich parents so it all equal outs between the 2 clubs. NEFC has way better teams as you point out, but select has way richer parents so this is why select parents always compare the 2 clubs together. NEFC is a much better club than select. It's embarrassing to compare the 2 clubs together. It's actually like comparing Stars Blue and Stars White.

It’s not embarrassing to compare the two clubs as they are equal offering equal opportunity to the same pathway. Richer parents? Generalize much. You assume all the players at select come from wealth. They don’t. It’s a mixed bag just like NEFC.

We are with select. Not rich at all. Just making ends meet and making sacrifices for club. You know nothing NEFC dad.

Ignore the dumb posts. The most controversial / stupid posts are just being made to stir the pot. There’s 1 guy in particular for whom this seems to be his full time occupation.

Then you are a fool paying 2x as much as Stars or Scorpions ECNL or NEFC GA.

                        5-0
                        3-0

For those not good at math, that’s NEFC 8-0 over Select for the season home and away. Or, it’s an average score of 4-0.

One team is in the GA final 4. The other don’t make the GA playoffs.

Explain to me how the teams are equal?

NEFC dad here.. I think they are claiming the clubs are equal, not necessarily the 07 age group. I’d still give the edge to NEFC but its fluid, two years ago probably would have gone the other way. Pretty cool to have some good choices in our small state including Stars, Scorps, Juve, Bolts, Aztec, etc… lots of choices for the consumer

Blue, they pay to keep kids on the team.

That would explain a couple of them

Another SSS Dad chiming in… rich? Far from it. Fool, would LOVE to discuss that in person. The club is a perfect fit for my family (3g spread out). We are happy with all aspects. My oldest is playing d-1 (some scholarship money) my second is recruited to play in a small d-19again some money) my 3rd is too young.hope she sticks with it but as long as she has a great experience I’m happy with whatever outcome happens. Great family atmosphere and caring staff. Although it has grown and seen some turnover I still see the smaller caring vibe ! So it’s worth it for me to work a little out from time to time to see my children in this program.
