I think every top team operates this way. Do you think Scorpions isn’t doing the same thing? I’m sure NEFC will look to replace the kids they have lost to Stars and Scorpions with players from outside the club as opposed to pulling up kids from DPL that have been loyal to the club for years (I’d bet you’ll see a few Stars Blue kids move over). The changes at Stars this year are certainly more than at other clubs, but every kid (and parent) associated with the Stars ECNL teams knows what the deal is. There are changes every year.

We’re probably seeing 2 years worth of change squeezed into one. Blue went into this past fall with almost the exact same roster as they ended the spring with. That was much more of an outlier than the alleged (until we know more) blowing up of the roster.

Some Stars players have received contracts, they aren’t sharing that information.

Hahaha. Most players want to play soccer. Some obsess over league patches and future college careers but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that number is actually remarkably low.

Agree 100% but have to throw in that in many cases it is the parents that obsess over it.

Agree with this. Some of this movement probably would have happened a year ago if it weren’t for Covid.

It’s a tough time of year and I think most parents tell their kid not to say anything since not everyone gets offers at the same time.

The secret is being kept better this year than I can ever remember. I don’t know any current Blue player that has an offer.

Stars continues to strengthen their blue and white teams. They do this at all the age groups and will continue to do this. It’s just how it goes.

Unless you've been a blue parent for the last 2 years I don't think you'll fully appreciate how this situation is different. All clubs change and upgrade players, yes. But not all of them completely screw over an entire team of girls for 2 years by leaving them with a coach who clearly isn't developing them. It's been chaos since the beginning. We should all regret not getting our kids out earlier like some did, including if I'm not mistaken, another stars coach who pulled his kid.

How about they bring 19 to the game Saturday and not playing one of the girls. I get the 18 game day roster rule, but they didn't tell this girl and drove 100+ miles down to CFC.
