We all do know that NEFC dad will be sooooooooooo insufferable when NEFC probably wins the terrible GA championships. He will brag soooooooooooooo much when 07's beat a bunch of very bad GA teams. He will probably say that NEFC is the best team in the country after a fake win.

I hope you aren't a stars blue parent pounding your chest here. I know a few blue parents who would be happy to be able to brag about any win...fake or not...

NEFC tied Blue 0-0. Blue finished 60 out of 60 teams at the 2007 showcase. NEFC would not be a top half ECNL club.

Hold on. Didn't NEFC tied Stars Blue who sits second to last in NE division of ECNL? So, basically they wouldn't even be top 5 in the NE ECNL let alone the entire ecnl hahaha

Reality check. Blue ties everyone. Blue tied SUSA and CFC and East Meadow and NEFC and Scorpions blah blah blah. So you could just as easily say Blue tied CFC. NEFC tied Blue. NEFC would be tied for first in NE ECNL. That is if you want to use the same kind of stupid logic you used to say NEFC would be second to last. Anyone with half a brain who has seen NEFC play would know they'd do just fine in the NE ECNL.

Why keep arguing about teams that will look very different in a week or two?

wouldn't make sense at all for an ECNL player to drop way down to a GA practice. Doesn't make any sense. If so, probably players like #21,22 on Stars white or NEFC/stars whitex2 dad trying to come back to NEFC. I've never heard of ECNL players wanting to play GA. That's like 2 steps backwards competition wise.

If the player was not a starter at Stars, doesn't want to be on an ECNLR team, sees the impact players from other clubs showing up at practice - perhaps the family sees the writing on the wall and is looking for a soft landing spot? They may also have already had "the talk" - where the coach tells them that there probably won't be a spot on Blue or White for them next year and tries to nudge them toward regional. There are plenty of reasons why a move like this might make sense, especially for the players below the very top tier on the team.

How have the Stars and Scorpions Regional teams done relative to competition? Is Regional league better than DPL/NPL-Impact if they consolidate / fix the 2nd level of GA clubs?

At Scorpions at least the R team is there for the bottom of the ECNL roster to play on when they don't get to suit up for the national team game. This can change from week to week who is out. I'm sure the R team regulars love that.

My daughters U15 team played a Stars regional team recently. They were not good. They were easily handled by my daughters team. I supposed if Lancaster was close and you didn’t have a better option, it would be fine, but I wouldn’t inconvenience myself in the slightest way for a regional team.

Here is my 2007 take for next year-

Stars Blue will be better. Taking kids from Blue, White, NEFC & SSS.
Scorpions will be better. Already a good team, adding a few new, stronger players.
White should be about the same (mid table), mixing in players from Blue, White & outside the club.
NEFC & SSS will still be good teams, but losing a handful of players, I don't see how they are as strong as they were this year.

Likewise, ECNL and ECNL-R will continue to strengthen and draw more and more top players while GA will continue to lose its best players.

Please clarify which Stars Regional team. Some people use that term to refer to the 'West' or Metrowest' teams. That is very different from the ECNL-R team. If your Ds team handled the ECNL-R team than that's a great day for your team.
