Will all the displaced Stars players accept spots on regional teams? Interested in hearing from the Stars parents whose kids are in jeopardy of losing their spot. Or do you plan on taking them
to tryout somewhere else?

We will go right to Nefc and become the best on the team. We will win every game and score tons of goals dominating inferior opponents. Can’t wait to measure success in the short term based off the result of a few games played!

College coaches don't care at all about scores. They're watching what you do on the field. They also aren't just filling traditional goal-scoring positions. #defendersmattertoo :)

So how does that make the striker look if she can’t finish? Or mf who can’t win tackles or get the ball to forwards? Or backs who let up goals? How does that work if you are on a crappy team like stars blue? Are the coaches still going to be so impressed they offer them a full ride?

Hard to tell if my kid is in jeopardy or not. She’s probably on the border. There is no way in hell we’d play ECNL-R. Same travel, worse competition, and my daughter would be the best on the team or close to it. If that’s the situation she’s bound for, I’d prefer to have her be the best on her team against worse competition without the excessive travel.

Agree. Most kids on Blue could be on the bubble to be honest except that one of the posters is right - there aren't likely to be obvious upgrades suddenly materializing. But ECNL-R isn't an attractive option.

Unless your kid is a YNT regular or consistently getting ID’d for YNT camps, they aren’t getting a “full ride”. Doesn’t matter what team they play for.

Are you talking about a u14 jr showcase ? Or are you talking about u15+ Because if you had any clue —-you would know ecnl treats u13/u14 as developmental.

Actually, this is the most damaging criticism of Stars - at least the 07 Stars Blue. Because as much as I agree the W/L thing on TS in stupid, it's hard for me to say right now that the kids on Stars Blue have developed the way they should have. They have better skills than they did when JB took over the team but nearly every team they play now surpasses them in overall soccer development.

PT is handled very differently depending on the coach and the age.

Yes, because they play in the ECNL... end of story. They must be good

That’s a question for the club. But I believe you go at u13 and u14 as part of the ecnl for the experience.
