That feels like a lot to get wrong when the goal is to put together the top players on the Blue team. Position plays a part, too. Your kid might be among the top 10 but only 3rd or 4th best at her position.
JB wouldn’t know talent if it smacked him right in the face. He’s an idiot. What are his qualifications anyway? Does anyone know? What makes him qualified to coach ECNL teams? I don’t think watching Premier League on tv counts.

I don’t have a dog in this fight but I don’t think there is a coach more disliked than this guy. He has quite the reputation. He’s all over multiple threads, been fired from multiple coaching positions, parents and players have no respect for him. Why is he still around? Do we have a coaching shortage? Are the FC Stars owners that desperate for coaches that they keep him around?

If you’re holding that game up as an example of quality soccer, you probably don’t know what you’re looking at. And I mean that for BOTH teams. The ball was barely ever on the ground and there was virtually no good passing by either team. Before you accuse me of making excuses for a loss, I was standing near a few Blue parents and one was commenting that it was the ugliest games he had ever seen. Now, if you only care whether your kid’s team wins, then congratulations. But if you care about HOW they play (and I suspect there are MANY parents with kids on Blue who do), you would not cite that particular game as an example of a skilled, technical team—on either side.

A parent stepped up and secured an indoor spot in order to make sure blue got some consistent practices over the winter due to the cold. The team also trained in acton on Saturday’s and played in a boys indoor league. Coach was involved in 2 out of the 3. It was all indoor / small sided 6 v 6 games. By doing this - it was probably the most blue has played together over a winter season. Many girls do play other sports during the winter. What I don’t understand is after leaving winter training why blue didn’t get back out and participate in some 11 v 11 scrimmages or friendlies in order to prepare for their first league game. If the stars spring kick off happened the weekend prior - that would make sense (I guess) but it’s this weekend. Coach used the white game as the teams first 11v11 workout and it cost him/ the team a league loss. All the girls could have benefited from 11 v 11 full field work in my opinion. Just my perspective on things right now.
Sorry, but this seems crazy. My D’s Scorpions team has practiced 2x week for 90-120 minutes per session indoors at Forekicks every week in December, January, February & March (so far) aside from 10 days off around Christmas. On top of that the club offered futsal on Monday nights & Sundays all winter, plus set up a half dozen scrimmages outdoors whenever the weather was warm. I don’t understand how that’s not happening with you guys?

And this my friends is why no GAL players are running over to the ECNL.

I’m using that game as an example of 2 teams playing an ugly game. The better players won. When one team came in prepared and the other did not, they were able to beat a better team. And’s let’s not kid ourselves, White didn’t dominate the game Wednesday.

No one said White dominated on Wednesday. But if Blue’s bench players are better than White’s best player (as you claim), they should be winning those games easily and by big margins.

So tell me, how many of the White players should be on Blue? How many should be starting on Blue?

Go ahead and leave GA, my daughter is in line for a spot. Tryouts coming up and we are feeling good about it. The quality of coaching and style of play on that team is far superior to that of the Stars teams. You won’t be missed.

At least I’m not a stars parent. Can’t get much dumber than that.

How will your kid fill a spot if it’s not vacated? It’s pretty clear you misunderstood it.
