Parking lot ref has requested that he be assigned to all of Select’s games this weekend. He will be tracking speed of play and all unremarkable goals will be disallowed.

The Stars White coaches cheering for their team over Stars Blue tears are just too funny....really highlights the absurdity of ECNL allowing one club to have two teams in a tiny geographical space in the "top division".

"I play for Stars top national team!"

"White!"
"That's not their top national team that's their second top national team, their first top national team is Blue!"

One of the teams should be ECNL-R now that it exists, plain and simple.

I don’t think anyone shed tears. The coach is not well liked and the players feel like they are lumped in with that. They dislike him as much as anyone.

Actually, I’d argue that this is an example of how they are basically treated like 2 different clubs. No crossover in coaching, no player movement during the year.

You’re definitely a scorpions parent (you guys love using the term “national”). You might want to be careful what you wish for. Go from 3 ECNL teams per age to 2 and your kid’s team will certainly be impacted.

As an outsider, I agree. Stars should not have 2 teams. If they were running over everyone and both teams were 1,2 in a few age groups it might make sense but Blue is only not a last place team because FSA exists. These two teams should be combined so that its worthwhile for other clubs to bother traveling to play Stars.

Combined is a funny way to describe it. It’s not like swapping out some of the players from white would make a difference for blue. Maybe it’s the coaching that’s stretched too thin.
