Of course not. NEFC parents truly believe that the best 18 players in MA are all on one team. Every single one. Now we hear that they will all play in college (which is 5-6 years away). I know the 2007 player pool really well since my D has been on a “list team” since U10 and has played the other list teams many times over the past five years. I’ve chatted with many of the other parents and you can’t help but get to know who the top players are. If you were making a top 20 list of players in MA, IMO, 5-6 would come from NEFC and the other 14-15 would be pretty evenly dispersed between SSS, Scorpions & Stars Blue. I’d bet that players 21-50 would also be split pretty evenly.

Time will tell if it winds up being the right move (I’m not betting against it), but I love the idea of that group of girls bucking the trend and staying together through high school. NEFC dad, pretty sure Stars Blue and Scorpions are just as strong as NEFC 2007 at this point. Despite what you read on here, neither team needs any of your players. Sure, your top 1/3 would help any team, but so would the top 1/3 on any of the list teams. Give it a rest. Enjoy your choice and good luck in GA.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

For the record, I’m an ECNL dad and I agree that the top 1/3 at Stars or Scorps would help any team. I’m just rooting for a good team to remain together for several years without all heading to different teams as they prepare for college. It’s rare and it would be good to see. That’s all. FYI a lot of the top players on that team came from outside the club. SPOL in particular. It's the normal course of things for kids to leave certain clubs at certain ages.
Stars and Scorps certainly are made up of all home grown talent.
If they all leave for ECNL how is it different?Comment
