So why not try to play for White or Scorpions?

Because the ceiling with the blue team is higher if they could just get themselves off the floor consistently. This spring will be important for JB. They are trending much better but it needs to continue in the spring. Hopefully, the roster will finally be stable for a bit. They need more focus from the coach and less of the drama.

I agree with all of this except for the part about the spring being important for JB. I just don’t think his job hinges on a U14 season. I do think spring will be important for the girls. It’s likely to determine whether there are wholesale roster changes or more typical season to season turnover.

Stars Blue is just better than White, Scorpions, NEFC & SSS.

In your view, if the spring doesn't continue the trend of improvement would the wholesale roster changes be initiated by the club or the parents?

Scorpions is a good alternative but Stars is likely to continue to attract more players so ultimately you're likely to end up on a better team as time goes by. And vs. white there are some exceptions but the blue teams generally attract more of the better players so ultimately you're likely to end up on a better team as time goes by. Not rocket science.

And where are these players being attracted from? Select players will only go to Scorpions because Lancaster is not drivable from the South Shore. As far as the NEFC players go, Taunton v. Lancaster is about the same difference from Mendon.

Where are the kids traveling from to get to Mendon? Franklin and Foxboro kids probably go to Scorpions. Marlborough and Sudbury kids probably go to Stars. Hopkinton and Dover kids, it’s probably a toss up.

Except you're dealing with EB and NR both are acceptable coaches but neither can run the business. Will need to partner, sell or drive the business into the ground
