In theory that's fine but the commentor specifically mentioned his daughter playing against a RL team, and I'm not thinking any local team went to far for a tournament.

Again, and I'm just tossing this out there, maybe that team wasn't a local team.

Scorpions 07 RL played at Seacoast Labor Day, and the 08 RL played down at CFC Columbus Day along with a bunch of other RL teams.

It's possible, and hear me out on this, but maybe it wasn't a MA team? Maybe when people make general comments about the worthiness of leagues, they talk about what's happening in GA or TX or CA or some other place to make their point.

It's also possible it wasn't an ECNL regional team but one of the dozen or so other stars "regional" ie. local teams and the poster just didn't know the detail.

For the competition that they face week in and week out, how they have developed from last year to this year, for the fact of who their coach is, and for how they have competed within ECNL Northeast this fall, Scorpions 07 ECNL must be the most attractive team amongst the MA landscape / age group right now.

NEFC goes to play NYSC this weekend. That will be a big test. NYSC will probably destroy them and then you'll see everyone rush to call ECNL clubs.

It's a tough call on where SSS falls on the list. The spring and fall have been hard on them but they do have a talented core group. Is LL terrified of Corona or just losing players if they see the competition. The CFC tournament could have been a great measuring stick, but now it looks like they wont play anything meaningful until the spring. I only know one parent from that team and they are still optimistic and their daughter is continuing to get better.

Select is suffering and being exposed by far weaker clubs at younger age groups. Money grab South Shore Select is no longer developing players and thank god people are seeing through the bull sh**

You can thank your mother for all I care... whatever it takes for the mass population to see through that money grabbing, self proclaiming cult of a "club" over there. That includes you too, who has their head way to far up your own behind to come back with a valid arguement

Let’s see if NEFC can do better than FSA did against NYSC last week. 2-0 FSA.

Bemused is a far cry from annoyed. I have nothing to do with SSS, but I do wonder what type of person goes out of their way to make a "fun topic" to discredit another club and the players/parents who are there. Seems like an odd way to spend one's time.

I don't think there's much to differentiate between the 3 ECNL teams in MA. Performance-wise they could each beat the others on any given day - not that that really matters. Development from last year to this year isn't anywhere close to the point where you can evaluate yet given Covid. The one differentiation I agree with is coaching but we don't actually know who will be coaching these teams next year, at least on the Stars side.
