SSS won the tournament beating Aztec twice.

select didn't play in any tournaments this Columbus Day. They played in friendlies. How embarrassing and to boot they even lost a game!! How the mighty have fallen! sadly their 07 team isn't even amongst the top 6 teams in Massachusetts anymore. Can you imagine how select's 07 team would have done at CFC? They would have gotten handled very easily so no wonder they wimped out and skipped the tournament.

Agreed NEFC is still 1, but I’d bet they would not go unbeaten if their next 3 games were against the 3 ECNL teams. Someone would knock them off. You can’t be “on” every single game. Teams have bad games from time to time.

but wait.....what about SSS? Most select parents complain on ts if you don't include SSS when you talk about NEFC. It's actually funny as a parent at NEFC how the club thinks of select as the ugly step child. Comparing NEFC and select is like comparing apples and oranges. To many at the club we think that it's weird that a club that we beat 80% of the time thinks they should be in the discussion every time their is discussion of what club is the best. NEFC is suppose to play select on Halloween. If this happens NEFC 07's will beat select 07's by at least 3 goals!

I get this is an 07 thread, but your posts makes is sound like this is an issue that transcends this age group. So, with that caveat, in our age group, and those around it, no way is NEFC the best team compared to SSS. I've always found SSS to be the toughest game, as their best players are just better than ours; the rest of the players match up equally, but no other team can match their talent at the very best.

Possibly you should put down the bottle. I referred to other age groups, since the post I replied to insinuated that the gap between NEFC and SSS exists across all age groups. In my experience, that's not the case.

Boy you sure are touchy....The post I replied to, as mentioned, appeared to speak across other age groups. We all know that touting results at such a young age of the 07 group is a useless exercise, and the wording of the post appeared to be more general in nature between the clubs across multiple age groups.

Personally, I don't have a dog in this fight since I'm not a part of either club. I just replied back that, from what I've seen over the last 10 years in multiple age groups, my impression is player to player, SSS has the best players at the top; but not across the entire roster.

Pretty defensive that someone would dare question an anonymous post about little girls' soccer, no?
