Tight games all weekend at this tournament. Great tournament for all of these teams.

Lot of talk about Surf & Aztec being as good as the 5 list teams. SSS beats Aztec by 3 goals and Surf ties NEFC’s 3rd team. That should put that line of thinking to bed.

I was impressed with both Stars teams today. Two very close games with Scorpions. They are different teams, but both dangerous.

It was a great weekend of competition. Every team who played in that top bracket got a ton of work in. Exactly what a tournament is supposed to do.

It was great seeing the girls playing very good competition and the coaches all playing all their players and results don’t matter. Coaches from all the ECNL teams were talking and enjoying themselves while watching good soccer. Not going and playing bad premier teams just looking for a result off an ECNL team to talk about how great they are. That is exactly what I want to see for my daughter and her team. League games are very tough and results driven but tournaments and showcases are just that. The facility in CT was very nice and well run. Everyone was social distancing and wearing masks. All in all it was a great event. Hopefully next year Stars will be able to run Labor Day and CFC Columbus Day and very little travel for us to get 2 good events in

no that would be SSS playing in a town tournament with zero competition and a bunch of 08 teams in their division. Any rankings going forward should penalize the 07 SSS team for not playing competitive soccer for another 5 months.

NEFC isn’t playing anyone much better.
