It is funny that those with the ECNL-N pom poms generally label ECNL-R as watered down, not worth the money, excessive travel and with limited opportunity to move up EXCEPT when someone rightfully compares ECNL-R to the DPL. When that happens? The pom poms come out along with the ECNL-N Player Dad T-shirt and said parent gets to the TS keyboard to put down anyone else who dares to play soccer outside of the ECNL.

Said no one ever who has an ECNL player.
Here we go again. You have no idea who my player is or her level of talent.
I do have a question for you though. Is it part of the standard ECNL player contract for the big strong dads to go on TS at least once a week to puff out their chests and brag about their children?

I've wondered the same. I assumed for a while it was just pride. Then, I thought it was just arrogance. But, it's so relentless it has to be contractually obligated.

Yeah, NEFC dad never puffs his chest. ECNL-R is DPL play with ECNL travel. Perhaps it’s a shade more competitive league-wide but not enough to justify the travel. Since ECNL-R is only in its second year, it remains to be seen what kind if a proving ground it really is for players who want to play ECNL.

Please. The most arrogant people on here are the SSS/NEFC parents who constantly post about how everyone else sucks.
I see very few comments about the DPL, since no one cares about that league.

Yep, they are there. No doubt. But, the breadth of activity, the ability to get into every thread (if they didn't actually start them), and consistence of the superiority message takes a dedicated army.
How does it work...do you get a % off your tuition per post? Or, does is the representation just part of the requirement? Like, it's assumed your kid will show up for trainings, they will wear the proper attire, you will wage a campaign to discredit every other league and team, you attend 3-4 showcases, etc.?
Also, do you work in shifts or just "troll when you can?"
How does the DPL sales pitch work from the coaches? “One day, if you work really hard, you will be promoted to the GA roster!”
For the smaller clubs in the DPL it was simply: "this is the best offer we have available to us at this time". Nothing more was promised by the coaches.
For those that like their smaller clubs, coaches, teammates at U13 / U14 age groups give it a try for a year or two. After that the top players can reassess.

In case you haven’t followed this thread for the past 500+ pages it’s all about superiority. Who has the best team, league, coach, travel situation, tournament results, etc. That’s it in a nutshell.

And aren’t most of us just looking to put our kid in the best situation? Hence all the talk about the best, league, club, coach, etc.

So true, and it's even better when you hear that from your D too. Almost like she spewing common sense between tiktok videos. They grow up so fast...
The "best" coach, team or league is meaningless if it isn't a good fit for your player.
agree. the league bashing crowd is getting tiresome. no single league is right for everyone. why can't people just be happy with their own choices and leave others to make theirs?
