I don't understand why some people make such a big deal about "poaching" and only seem to associate it with some coach/club they hate for whatever reason. Every club coach I've ever known would take a talented player from another team. And if they hear from the parents of a talented player that they are unsure about their current situation they are only too happy to explain why the kid would be better off switching teams. Every club does this. You may not like it. I may not like it. But we shouldn't pretend that only the "bad" ones do it.

Bingo. And parents that look for a better situation aren’t stuck up or cowardly. They just want a good situation for their kid. And yet there’s so much drama around it all. We’re lunatics. Everyone of us. It’s kids’ soccer.

The player that left is very good. Calling her the best player is very debatable. The girl added to the roster afterwards is also a great player and arguably has brought some things that the team had been lacking. So they shared a number. So what? You’re projecting your own feelings by declaring the same number was given to the second player in order to prove a point. Yuck.
