I heard a rumor that SSS lost a few of their top DA players to another team. Any truth in that?

        Are they game changers?

The word "top" might give a clue. Of course if it was a parent of one of them the description may not be accurate.

People leave mid season for two reasons - wrong fit/no PT or the situation is intolerable for other reasons

Not a parent--a coach from another club. That might say something too.

If they were on the team they were a top player. Team was dominant over the last few years. Four kids left in the last year for their own reasons. But don’t worry, we are still good enough to beat you this weekend.

Its anonymous and parents have a tendency to foolishly post about their kids.

More likely a coach (or parent) fishing for info about an unfamiliar opponent. Lot of big games this weekend.

"Big" games? They're 12 years old.

I do not have a child in this age group currently, but I have, and when one of my kids was U13 they were one of the best teams in the country ... before ECNL or DA existed at those ages, so all the top teams were NPL and they won the NPL National Championship, which went to double OT and finally PK’s where they won it. The life lessons that were learned throughout that entire season were huge... and there were MANY BIG games a long the way. Some lost, many won, but if you think a 12 year old cannot have BIG games, it’s clear yours never had one, or you and I see things very differently. The confidence to perform under pressure, to push through stress and fear and pain, to work as a team, to support others, and to bounce back when things go wrong, and all the other things sports in general can teach. Big games do not always have to be about college recruiting for God’s sakes, but the lessons any kid, no matter what the age or level, can learn from going out there and giving their all when the competition is tough, can be invaluable. And that goes for playing in a tough bracket in a tournament at Thanksgiving.

Good luck to all the kids competing this weekend!

Nope. I heard it first hand from a coach.
As we were having lunch he made a call-- he pulled the phone away from his ear and I could hear the conversation perfectly.

Great job. Thanks for creeping on a little girls forum.
Just kidding...Seriously....do you get the same life lessons playing equal competition at a lower competitive level? Do the kids even know the difference, is the life lesson of team and effort not the same regardless....seems pompous to even have to mention top level.

What are you blabbering in about? They clearly said big games can be at every age and level.
