Noone moved up from what I hear, they added from outside the club and lost a good defender. 2 left because they weren't happy with their roles.

FCUSA added a few good players so should still be a top 5 team

FC Boston lost a player as well and scores show they struggled at GPS tournament. Not sure if they were missing players or not.

NEFC should be even better as they added the player SPOL but they were tops anyway

Interested to see who pools players and what impact that will have.

These girls are going into 6th grade, if some move up they may be more physically ready and for those moving down it may be best for them. Playing top teams every week isn't for everyone.

Good point about 6th grade. Plus, a new season of "Henry Danger" is out soon so that always causes problems....

Sneak? Hey, people are allowed to leave clubs. If club owners and coaches feel betrayed and can't handle that maybe they are in the wrong business.
Why shouldn't club owners be upset when bigger clubs could care less about recruiting rules and talk to players and families during the year. Is it that hard to wait to do things the right way?

Maybe if clubs were a little more ethical it would be easier to build relationships and put kids in the best situations to develop.

When coaches approach parents on the sidelines and ask about coming to their club while they are playing another team that is not how coaches should act.

SO, if the bigger clubs waited to talk to the players out of season, the smaller clubs would be OK with them leaving??? I know for a FACT that isn't true. Regardless of when the player leaves or gets the idea to leave the owner is still peeved. I'm pretty sure that these girls already knew about the bigger clubs and how do you know that the players didn't approach the club?? That happens too. Being mad about it is just stupid.

There is an expectation that players will leave after a season but if things are done right it should not be a surprise. The issue isn't about knowing the bigger clubs exist nowadays everyone knows the layout. There is still a right way and wrong way to do things. If a player signs on to a DA team because a smaller club doesn't offer that you wish them luck. Having a offshoot team steal players because they are under a big club and playing in a similar or worse division would upset people for sure.

But WHY???? If a player leaves so what? The language is all wrong. It isn't stealing!! People have free will. And as I said before even if a player leaves for something a club doesn't offer they are STILL mad. It's stupid.

Listen we all know coach left and many players followed. The news that he was leaving came before the end of the season giving people pleanty of time to decide where to show up for tryouts. From what I have read this was a parallel jump for the coach and girls. Should an owner be mad about this? Sure. Should rules be enforced to prevent this? Sure. They followed a coach nothing more. Will be interesting when he leaves again and the players don’t have an opportunity to follow.

Hope your wife has that same sense of loyalty, surely people could always do better. Who cares if they look and leave you if they marry up.

Anyone who equates marriage to youth soccer is a moron. Life isn't so black and white. Grow up!

Anyone who has your views on youth soccer is the problem with it. Forget about ethics just club hop and pull kids out of good situations by making them believe they are going pro at 10. Having morals goes to your personality if you don't have them with 10 year olds you never will.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever read. Ethics? Club hopping is not unethical. If ANYBODY can convince you or your child that they are going pro at 10 then you have more problems than whether or not that person "followed" the rules. The indignation and anger over parents making decisions about 10 year olds playing soccer is unreal. Do you honestly believe that the owner of SOL or the Stars or GPS gives a damn about anything but your money. Would they stay loyal to you? If they wanted you gone, you'd be gone regardless of everything! This is a purely symbiotic relationship. Once you are no longer useful, guess what! And you think my views are the problem with youth soccer. Nope. I've just learned to recognize and play the game. You may be passing on "morality" to your children but also naivete.
