Ridiculous statement. Stars Blue and White played SSS in Nov/Dec and beat them across the board at pretty much every age group with both teams.

Well according to the GA website “FC Irving (TX)” is in as a “test club” this Spring.

If you think about it any new additions to GA will be clubs would couldn’t make ECNL or GA up until now, and that leaves very few good options.

If that happens, the league is in real trouble. Not going to lie. Those are the two marquee east of the Mississippi clubs.

Clubs dont want to be exposed. ECNL cant lose to GA and vice versa. Too much money at stake and they'd never dream of doing something to the benefit of players or parents, especially when they know they can take dues and no one will say a word for fear of retribution.

At ECNL/GA level Stars and Scorpions must worry much more about losing their best players to each other than to NEFC or SSS now that DA is dead. If Scorpions lost 2-1 to SSS do you really think Scorpions is at all worried there'd be a player exodus to GA? Come on. First of all, for most parents (and ALL rational parents), much more goes into the club decision than wins/losses. And second, key players with college aspirations move to GA from ECNL because they lost a game to a GA team? Really?

ECNL parent here who really doesn’t get all the blithering on and on with the ECNL > GA. It’s tiresome and I wish it would stop. There’s never anything new added to that discussion.

So many lowly NEP players out there with more talent than a lot of the ECNL players but understandably don’t want to deal with snooty ECNL families. It doesn’t take reading but a few posts to realize ECNL isn’t about the the game. It’s about mom and dads egos.

Anyone who automatically assumes that hundreds of families in MA are “snooty” based on the soccer team their kid plays on and comments on an anonymous message board online sounds like a completely rational person. Keep making decisions for your kid based on this incredibly reasonable criteria. I’m assuming that because you “don’t want to deal” with the parents, you’ve “chosen” to never send your NEP kid to an ECNL team’s practice or a tryout. Does your ban extend to GA and DPL as well?
