NEFC dad would be too much to handle if they got ECNL. For that reason alone, just no.

I 2nd and 3rd that!!! hahaha. Let's change NEFC dad to..... bitter wanna be ECNL dad!

On the bright side though if in ECNL we would never ever have to hear about NEFC going undefeated again! Instead of playing a bunch of 08 teams and meh 07 GA teams, I'd bet NEFC dad would change his tune of being undefeated to how great the competition is in ECNL!

You forgot the part about NEFC was already in ECNL and chose to leave. They made their bed and the league moved in without them.

That's my point. What do I care what happened in the past? I totally get why the league might not like them or JD might not like them and that will be what decides it. But as an ECNL parent I wouldn't mind one bit if they let NEFC into ECNL because it gives kids and their parents another option if for some reason they decide a change in club makes sense for them. What good does it do me to make NEFC "suffer" because of a decision they made in the past? So I get to post on TS how my daughter is in a better league than someone else's NEFC daughter? Why view the world from the perspective of the league or club instead of from the perspective of what's best for your daughter? It wouldn't hurt my daughter at all if NEFC were in ECNL and it could actually be a benefit to her down the road if we wanted to make a change for some reason. We probably won't but how does having the option hurt us?

Add in NEFC & NYSC and shift PDA White to the North Atlantic division. That would give you two strong groups of 10.

Agree with that. Also agree with the op that some more choice makes sense and won't dilute the talent pool. Don't understand the resistance from ECNL parents either. Is it just bragging rights?

This type of comment always cracks me up. If anyone was unhappy with NEFC, the league, coaches, schedule, etc... they’d drive over to Lancaster and play for Stars. No team is so special they won’t accept new players. Your kid is not a unicorn and could be sitting the bench at any moment... for any club. Maybe there will be a mass exodus in 2021 but i doubt it, COvid may have bought NEFC another year.
