The List- Girls 2007 (Week two)
The season kicked off with a bang. Things will get even more interesting this week with three of our list teams traveling to PDA. They'll see some great competition down in NJ. Let me borrow a line from Friday Night Lights (the movie, not the TV show) "The not so good news is that it looks like all roads are eventually leading to Dallas-Cater. And what a monster of a team Dallas Carter is."
Without further ado, here’s the best MA girls 2007 preview you’ll read all week.
1. Spirit of Liverpool
Results move the list, and Spirit of Liverpool took care of business in week one by dispatching WUP. Now go out this week and beat the CFC team that just knocked off the baddest little team in the land. Otherwise, it's going to be a short stay at the top.
2. NEFC Pre-NPL
Was not expecting CFC Sky North to pull off a 2-1 upset, but that's why you play the games. Sometimes you can control the run of play, but not convert your chances, and you take the loss. It'll be a small bump in the road come June and bigger fish are coming up this weekend.
3. FC Stars Pre-ECNL
Had a bye last week. I-95 South in a couple days. Sweet to miss school on Friday! Opening game is against NEFC Pre-NPL. I'm calling winner of that game makes the top bracket final.
4. GPS Boston
Beat NEFC North 3-0. Nicely done. Nothing on the schedule for this coming week, so sit back and enjoy the number 4 spot for now.
5. South Shore Select AP
Select beat FCUSA Coastal 1-0. Sometimes the scoreline doesn't paint a picture of how the game really went, but sticking with the football analogies (college this time) this sort of feels like USC beating Western Kentucky 7-0.
6. Scorpions Pre-ECNL
Off last weekend. World Class and CFC coming up this weekend. Would have been great to see these three teams at PDA as well.
Will be some very good games down in NJ this weekend. Our three list teams are all in the top bracket at PDA. NEFC & Stars are paired with East Meadow and NJ Stallions while Select is on the other side with Syracuse Development Academy, Century United & "Dallas-Cater" AKA PDA's 2007 team. Based on their showing at Jefferson Cup, PDA will be the team to beat.
Rooting for all of our MA teams this weekend. Safe travels. As the saying goes, “results move the list.” Whoever is triggered by “the list,” let the outrage flow.

So Cindy was telling her friend Amy that they think they are a wicked good team because they beat another team by ten points but Amy said that's not true that they know the other team is really good too and maybe they were not there that day and that daddy says they are good and he knows a lot because he used to play soccer a long time ago and he's really good too.
Anyway Cindy said that Amy's dad just talks a lot and he really doesn't know anything he just goes onto the websites and looks at the scores and thinks he knows a lot and most of the other parents don't even like to talk to him because he embarrasses them with all his talking.
Amy said "that's not true he does know a lot and he even says calls positions by their numbers which I don't understand either but he always calls me the best number ten there is. I wear number 19 so I don't know what it means. But I did go number 2 earlier.
Soccer is so confusing. I just want to have fun but dad gets so upset when we lose. I told him we did try but everyone needs to play and I like Mary and she's my friend and her mom makes the BEST hot chocolate and I like it when she plays even though we seem to get scored on more when she's there but I still like her and I want to have a sleepover at her house Saturday but dad won't let me because he said we have a game the next day and I need my rest."

Pushy parents that live vicariously through their children, and money hungry clubs will play up a narrative that u10 soccer is serious stuff.
