Agreed. The tide turned a lot quicker than I thought it would. Teams that didn’t exist 18 months ago are now on par with NEFC & SSS which are very talented and have been together for years. Momentum will continue to swing towards ECNL, like it or not.

Doesn’t get much tighter than this for the list teams.

These teams need to play each other more often.

I agree, as well. You can disagree about the list order all day, but given how close all these teams are, the ECNL hands down offers a greater competitive environment. The ground made up in the last 18 months will look like nothing if the spring allows for a full season to be played. The ECNL teams will continue to progress more rapidly and begin to separate from the pack. Of course, at that point NEFC and SSS won’t dare play ECNL teams. Just look at the older age groups.

That’s because the ECNL teams play meaningful games every single weekend. There are no weak teams. Throw in a tournament schedule of PDA, Stars, CFC & Jefferson Cup and you have an amazing run of games.

Compare that to the GA & the small local tournaments that Select & NEFC play in.

Just one last thing before I sign off to the new 08 thread. The talent at the 07 age group in MA is weak. The fact that the top 08 teams can give the best 07 teams a run for their money is all you need to know.
