Weird. When it's revealed an ECNL club carries 25, it's positioned as a good thing "as it helps them to compete and to know nothing is guaranteed." When SSS does it, panties get knotted.

That being said, anything above 16 is ridiculous.

It's not just SSS carrying a big roster. 20 is the new 16. My D's team has too many to dress for league games.

What 2007 ECNL team is carrying 25 kids? League only allows 18 on game day. I agree that 16, or maybe 17 is the ideal number at 2007.

when is the big showdown between sss and NEFC? Is it happening this fall? We have heard from alot of mouthy sss parents for months how this year is going to be different and how sss is the new sheriff in 07. let's go!

Honestly, i don't think any MA GA games happen this fall. Probably a 4 game season of playing Oakwood & Seacoast. Sucks.

sheriff? one reason why this is all so silly is that if the top kids on SSS (or for that matter any of the "list" teams) really cared one bit about being the "sheriff" and thought NEFC was the "sheriff" they could simply go play for NEFC and put the badge on. and if the top kids on NEFC tired of the burden of being the "sheriff" they could simply go play for one of the other teams. only some semi-twisted loyalty to a particular business - er, I mean club - could make a parent - er, I mean player, care.

That would make too much sense. Why aren’t the NA teams playing the NY & NJ teams? At least those states allow games.
