MIAA has rules about high school coaches also coaching a limit on the kids they coach on their club, ISL might be different. If it's close to same then BBN violated it big time.

In the ISL you cannot coach your kids out of season unless they are rising seniors. The rule was suspended during Covid, but reinstated this past winter. GB explained all of this to us (returning players) when he made his decision to leave. He could have stayed and just coached BBN or leave and continue with his 07 and stars blue teams. Do not blame him for leaving, but sad for my daughter that he is gone.

Pingree is not ISL. Plenty of NEPSAC schools not in ISL. Not sure if that coaching rule is ISL specific or applies to all NEPSAC teams.

I haven't looked at the rules prior to the BDA to MLS change but I recall it being written as "private school " which would cover prep and independent private day schools. You're supposed to get verification from the school that you are getting $ to play.

2009 parent here. question for the been there done that 2007 parents:

What percentage of the best 2007 players in MA are spread out over Stars & Scorpions ECNL teams? From my perspective those look to be the two best 2007 teams and we are trying to figure out what the 2009 teams will look like by 9th grade.

I’m guessing 75-80% with a few others scattered at NEFC, Aztec, etc.?

From what I’m told from an 09 blue parent; it’s split between blue,sss,and nefc for 09 with an aztec sprinkle.
