I'm not saying there aren't talented players in NEP nor am I saying there aren't talented teams in the NEP. However, in the top NEP divisions, you may get 2 competitive games a season where in New England NPL, almost every game is competitive. Also, NEP teams usually aren't going to get the best groupings in tournaments.
FC Stars he can not develop he needs a name club backing him to surround him with a ton of talent so he is unable to screw things up. DS great job with all your NEFC NS teams, I will be very happy if my daughter gets picked for any of the NEFC NS teams next week.

Just a question why is getting NPL spot so great? Isn't NPL the 3rd league now? Nep npl does it really matter?

NEP Pride
To all those NPLers check out the photo of the NEFC NS (NEP) State Cup Champions on the Mass State Cup home page. A picture is worth a thousand words on this blog. Congrats to the players and the coaches and the club!

Stop being blinded by the league names. Plenty of high level showcases and Jamborees that create the competition. These NEFC teams are ranked right up there with your NPL, ECNL teams and beat a few of them. Good programs, good coaches, and competitive teams are what develop young athletes. When you find that combination that works, yes that means do your homework don't just follow the herd, you stick with it.

League does not make the team, the team makes it to nationals! Enjoy your summer, we have more soccer to play.
