St. John's will not be as good as last year. Lost some key players.
Shrewsbury lost some key players as well, but should be OK.
Gonk should be in the mix as always.
Wachusett had a small group graduate, so should be in the mix.
Nashoba ?

Westborough should be strong
Most key players returning.
Next years team should be better than last years state finalist, although they will be hard pressed to repeat last years run. (A lot of balls bounced the right way through the playoffs)

Top 5 for 2017 in no particular order
Algonquin programs depth allows them to compete every year. They did graduate last years major players but they usually have players in waiting. Programs history's and style of play benefits fits them.
Marlborough young last year. They did lose that player in middle that was a difference maker but they do return the regions best over all player who does win game signal handily.
Wachusett also young last year. Program size. Have had a good run last few years . They return probably 90% of last years starters and team. Rumor is they are getting an impact player back from DAP but that was rumored last year as well.
Westborough lost many impact players from last years team. Bring back a few quality starters thou and a good GK. What benefits Westborough is they carry junior heavy JV program each year so varsity is usually senior heavy each year.
Doherty solid core returning. Did lose a great player from last years team but many solid players returning. Midfield will be strength. Never know which new immigrant has moved into the city that will add to the program.
Looking in but worthy of top 5 and could be in top 5
St. John's
Worcester South

Don't expect St. John's to be as good as last year. Last year was their year and have some huge holes to fill. New Assistant Coach will certainly help get them back on track.
Wachusett did not graduate many and are loaded with seniors this year. Should be very strong this year.
Agreed Gonk will always be in the mix.
South's goalie OR is rumored to not be playing. If that is the case it will be hard to replace. Quality player!
Doherty is always a wild card.
Have not heard much from Nashoba. They're still looking for new coach as far as I know.
Westboro has a stand out goalie, but lost some good players. Should still be in the mix.

St. John's will be a rebuilding year.
Shrewsbury should be in the mix as they have AP back who led the team in scoring. Though they did lose some key players.
Marlboro is always a threat with AF, but losing central player might change a lot unless someone can fill that void.

Shrewsbury lost at least 7 starters and majority of impact players. Coaching will decide fate and they do have a quality coach. AP is good but can't put a team on his back.
Marlborough struggled when JM was not in middle. He's gone and he made the team run. AF is dynamic player thou.
Wachusett will be deep with starters and bench.
GD should have off year
Not sure on Tantasqua who was a suprise team last year

Without a center Marlboro will not be as they were last year. They will struggle unless someone can fill the JM void.
