    coaches

HS coach - great guy, great coach. Women's team - WPSL - Bay State Select - same great coach great guy. Crusaders U15 coach - same great coach great guy. In common they used to belong to the club when it had a purpose that fit them and left when it didn't.

I'm sure the agreement to not poach players must go to the Blackwatch Alliance, of which Nova hasn't contributed to either by encouraging players to participate in, nor by supplying coaches for several years. Nobody needs to poach anyone. Fees go up, coincidentally recruitment and services and level of play go down. Dissatisfied people leave.

With regards this thread, the club takes money and offers a one year commitment to participating kids. Kids commitment is monitary as well as time and effort. While parents are getting lawyers into trying to get a refund, would involving Maple in the situation help? Are there are any standards for integrety for clubs and club owners?

It would be Mass Youth soccer not MAPLE, wouldn't it?

The coaches that I was referring too just left after last Spring Season (2008) and both are not coaching at any club though I beleive one is a HS coach and the other is coaching a womens team. The one you may be suggesting didn't get stolen, he just left and went to Crusaders a while ago.

I asked a friend of mine whose daughter plays for the U11 team and he told me DC left to pursue his master's degree (teaching requirement I believe) and JL "retired." He didn't know the whole story behind MH leaving and wouldn't speculate.

As far as the inner turmoil, he said as far as he knows, there is no turmoil with the U11 team. He's very happy with the team as well as the coach (Simon?). The team really enjoys playing for him and has learned a lot.

            thanks (Simon?)

I can assure you Simon doesn't post here. I'm sure he doesn't know this site even exists. My daughter has played 2 years for him with Nova and I can tell you I'm more than satisfied with the quality of coaching my daughter has received from him. Other parents on the team feel the same way.

I heard the same thing about Denis and Jim. Both are quality coaches and great people. Losing them was definately a big loss for the club.

Ha ha ha, the Blackwatch Alliance! Wasn't it amazing the number of clubs that thought that alliance was going to work?

If you signed a contract that stated a specific period of time and the club disbanded the team before the contract period was up, you probably could go to small claims court and win.

JL was an original founder of NOVA. He stayed until is daughter graduated HS (graduated MAPLE). Now he has moved on to coach her at Bay State Select (South Shore Select women's team).
