yes it's working out well for them. It absolutely is the Revs choice and some clubs don't allow any. But with two other DA clubs in the area and poor performance they should reconsider. Personally I think the idea is stupid - either apply the no HS rule to all or none, not a "selected few" but USSF caved on that.

You cannot participate in any DA practices or games or showcases while your HS team is running - from tryouts to the very last game played. That is per USFF rules. Some states also restrict HS players from doing club and HS at the same time but that only applies to public schools. Waivers are for private schools only and has to be approved by your club and USSF. Or some clubs just "add" players to the roster once HS is over, which is also allowed by USSF rules. However, that works best here where HS is in the fall. In some parts of the US soccer is a winter sport and others a spring sport. Players who gave up HS soccer have to fight even harder for time once players return because even late add players have to get their minimal starts in.
