There is no such thing as a perfect soccer club. Trust me. I've lived through it with three kids. You find what works for your family and make the best of it. Your child probably isn't going to go pro or get a scholarship so just relax and enjoy the ride :) they will be adults before you know it.

2 of those fields are crap. And still charge 2200 and that's in American dollars not English pound. Don't they have some guy helping out that WUP fired.

The board needs to fire Serafino and get a new director. He is the reason for their downfall and it is for his own personal gain.

When was the last time Western United updated there website? They can't even keep the website going but sure are fast to suck you in and cash your checks! I would advice any parent to stay far away from Western United.

There are a few individual here, that feel a need that they have to put other clubs down to make them feel better about themselves. Just to convince themselves that they made the right choice and their child is in the best club. The truth is none of these clubs are bad. Every club has some strong teams and coaches and some not so strong ones. Last year Mutiny had 2 teams that finished as the top team, in the state, in the top division in Maple. Some of the teams they beat, are now in NPL/NEP and at the end of this past season, were at the top of their divisions. So yes they clearly have some strong teams, just look at their Boys 04 team, which is basically the Ludlow PVJSL town travel team playing premier, clearly one of the best teams in the state, but I would give the nod to the Western United Pioneers(WUP) Boys 04 NPL team as being a tiny bit stronger, but it would be very close. GPS West also has a good program and from what their parents tell me, the coaches that stay are usually very good. It seems that the Western United Pioneers are the main destination club for boys in the area, with FC Stars being the main one for girls. We know about a half dozen kids playing for WUP, and for the most part they are all happy with the program there.
My son plays for FC Stars West and I have been extremely happy with the club and coach. I have also watched RL coach, and he does simply an amazing job with their top girls teams. I just wish he would spend some time with their other teams. My son's team is having their winter indoor training at Soccer City. During the regular season the new roots facility is very convenient and is an easy drive for us. It is a great atmosphere and setup, and I can't wait for their indoor facility to be open. The outdoor lighting won't be an issue for the spring, so I hope they have that worked out before next fall. If it was me, I'd put a giant billboard sign, in front of the neighbor that is complaining, with bright neon, pink and purple dots facing them, just to "block any ambient light going their way", but that's me. Westfield is shooting themselves in the foot holding this project up over some ambient light going into someone's back yard.
I find it funny when people complain about the coaching from one club over another. Many of the coaches, at one point or another, have coached at the other clubs. My son's current FC Stars' coach used to coach for PV Storm. My son's old Berkshire coach, now coaches for WUP. Having said that, a good coach is much more important than which club they belong to.
