Not sure I agree with some of his logic. But I do think if you are representing your country you should be respectful of the flag and behave as respected representative of your country. The NFL/Kappernick is a different, more domestic matter, and I'm not sure it belongs on the international stage

US Soccer principles only seemed to matter when Solo was no longer a highly valued resource to them. Doesn't reflect well on U.S. Soccer.

Let's see if Rapinoe kneels during the next friendly. If so, she should be suspended immediately. USSF has set the trend. Saying or doing things that are uncomfortable for USSF means you are suspended.

here's the thing, you don't just take one of the best keepers ever, and just kick her to the curb in an unceremonious manner, especially over something like, you know, free speech. The woman is a mess, no doubt, but she deserved better - yes, let her go, that's fine. But there's a way to do things that keep it classy yet send a firm message about standards. The US program failed this utterly and completely. It was amateur hour the way the handled it.
