Any 02 players making their varsity high school squad most likely play for a poor high school program.

Yes. Everyone and everything sucks, does not count, or is irrelevant. Let's be sure to spread the message!

Just the facts. Very few freshmen make a strong high school varsity squad and almost none contribute.

probably true for the most part, although there are exceptions.

Let me guess, an 02 just took your 98's spot and you are pissed!

My kid plays DA so he's a bit beyond the 02 kids that are left to play high school. Good luck with boot ball.

that's a bit rough. I think you'll find that many of the high school teams are basically one or more club rosters put together, and their style is becoming more and more influenced via club training than your typical 1980's kick and run (although that style is certainly still out there). In terms of the DA comment, some people have different end goals in mind, and certainly some are open ended. You might be driving your child to play D1 or even skipping university altogether in the hopes that they can make a straight path to play professionally. If that works out, more power to you. Many are also content in having their child to love the game, improve their skill, play in college, and let their academics drive instead of co-pilot. I could be wrong, but I don't believe you will find more than a handful of DA players across the country going to Ivy or tier 1 schools (yes I know, Stanford to Seattle), and then doing well beyond college professionally.

If your child plays DA, it would be interesting to hear your experience with the specific program.
