As you as dumb in real life as you are on this forum?

So on a roster of 18 you cite 7 who mostly hit the national team at the later stages of the program in the college years. What about all of these U14 and U15's they are calling into camps. Seems something is wrong with that part of the program if they essentially end up dumping most of them in favor of players that show up big in college.

No, he listed the first few - they've all pretty much been through the system from near the beginning. Anyone who hasn't been through the system is the exception rather than the rule.

For example, here is the roster from the 2005 ODP inter-regional - this is where the first national camp invites usually came from. There were teams from 1988-91 there. Every women on the Olympic Team born between 88 and 91 was on their Regional ODP team and it is safe to assume that is where they entered the pipeline.

R1 Thanksgiving ODP Regional Tournament Rosters - Thanksgiving, 2005

            1988 - Region 1
Alyssa Naeher (Seymour, CT), Meghan Klingenberg (Gibsonia, PA), Tobin Heath (Basking Ridge, NJ)

            Region 3
            Kelley O'Hara (Fayetteville, GA)

            Region 4
Christen Press (Palos Verdes Esta, CA)

            1989 - Region 4
            Alex Morgan (Diamond Bar, CA)

None of these players have high soccer IQ. USWNT should be built around Pugh. Elavate players that can compliment her or have similar skill set. Their transition from the back to the attacking 1/3 was awful.

Elevate players that have the same skill set as the best young talent in the last 20 years - got it - good plan.

Very true. I watch this game thinking I'm watching a bunch of u12's running around.

Your best PK shooter (Lloyd) should go first

Morgan's strengths are her speed, size and instincts. SHe is not a great shooter.

And do you think Press should have taken a shot?

Now you tell me which one of the 18 didn't play on the youth teams. These players didn't just fall out of the ether

Guess this shoots the whole idea of them only picking big early bloomers then. Guess ODP aint so much of a shame either then.
