      It's getting pretty bad.
give an example? name a game? It would be interesting to see if both sides agree (winning team and losing team)

With the nobles loss and Milton still on the horizon for nobles, this tie might be just enough to make MX the favorite for second class B spot. MX has an easier final two matches.

Yeah, with 4 goals and 1 assist today and only allowed to play 50 mins he really sucks...

Hey New England, watch out, the boys are rollin. #LetsRide

SOUTH KENT IS THE REAL DEAL BOYS!! Your isl run is impressive but the class b tourney is going to be where the rubber meets the road. Don't get ahead of yourselves.

The ref in the Rivers/Lawrence game is a prime example of this. ...and I'm a Rivers parent (we won 5-0).

                  Refs in prep

It seems to me the average age of the games I see weekly are done by guys in there 60's and 70's. Maybe they were better years ago maybe not. Where are all the younger refs in New England? Seriously, the ref assingnor must be an old guy and he keeps its in the family! On occasion only a few games this year have we had a team of 3 that could keep up with game. The biggest problem being the old guys not able to keep up with the back line to actually see or call offsides correctly. Coming from watching a Top 10 class A team all year.

For all the people complaining about rivers having a bad field, they are getting a new one in the spring.

Also, many young refs have jobs that don't allow them to get out of work that early where some the the older refs have the ability to leave work due to senority in the workplace etc. you tend to have a better shot at good reffing on the weekend ISL games. There is definitely a political part to this as well where certain guys get taken care of. It happens in many facets of life. Unfortunately, at the cost of the student-athletes. But not all young refs are good either. Guess you can't win either way

Reffing is not easy but certain things these guys should be prepped for in their orientation. For example the difference in size/ strength of the athletes and that the bigger /stronger should not be penalized just because of their sheer strength difference. I've lost count of how many bad calls I've seen where everything was perfectly legal but because the smaller player fell or got knocked over, its an automatic foul and in some cases a yellow card. Very frustrating to watch and even more frustrating for the players.

If you have an academically strong soccer player can they get $$$ to play at these schools? How would a child even get recognized?

No athletic scholarships in the ISL. All aid is need-based, but the calculations are much less stringent than college financial aid. And the aid goes to the students they want the most (and athletics can be considered in that equation).

Huge game for Milton, as they fight to make the Class A Tournament. Brooks has clinched the ISL, and is pretty much locked into the 2nd seed in Class B; although they are still looking to close out an undefeated ISL season.
