I would not place Nobles in the same group as Brooks after their 1-1 tie with St. George yesterday.

I agree that Brooks is the new MA. However unlike last year, the next nine or ten teams are very similar in ability as the games have shown. The game are going to be very interesting this year with these teams playing each other and no way of predicting the outcome.

Of course they were. Several teams have academy and ex academy players ( MA, RL, MX, LA, brooks etc..) they are not necessarily the winning factor .

why? unblemished record. Winning a by a lot of goals with only TWO goals against. This time last season, MA had SIX goals against (two from Exeter, one from Berkshire, and three from their pals at LA)

While Brooks are good, they aren't nearly at the level of MA last year. This is not an insult to Brooks, only praise for MA as they were just untouchable. Brooks play good soccer but it isn't mesmerizing like MA last year. DS isn't that creative on the ball, he mainly just takes big touches and outruns everyone. JI isn't close to JO from Milton. The midfielders are exceptional but not incredible. DS holds down the back but the rest of the defenders are not that good. A strong team could beat them. It wouldn't be easy, but it's definitely possible. I'd be shocked if they didn't lose or tie at least one game this season, probably two.

mesmerizing? really?!? Are you sure you're referring to MA and not your favorite pro team? Humans would colonize another planet before an American HS team mesmerizes me.

I watched MA play BK last year and later I watched the NEPSAC final - nothing exceptional there. A good team no doubt but there were many good chances from both sides.

Well obviously I wasn't hypnotized to the point where I would've acted like a chicken if you told me to, but they were very clearly a level above everyone else and moved the ball incredibly well

Brooks' schedule is very back-loaded, just as it was last year, when they started 4-0-4, if memory serves, and wound up in the middle of the table. They've done very well so far, but they haven't played the better teams yet.
