Rivers parked the bus and scored a late goal (88th minute). Was a 2-0 game....not 2-1. could have been more if not for the postage stamp field. easy to keep it tight when you're playing a flat back 6 like bbn did today. poor DM there by himself with no support today.

AGAIN, if the field made that much of a difference, you would see a significant difference between Rivers' home and away records. Which you don't. So stop whining about the field. (In any case, its problem isn't its size. The problem is the overlap with the baseball infield.)

I'm also pretty sure that goals scored in the 88th minute count. So it was 2-1. Somehow I doubt you would be saying this if Brooks had scored the winning goal in the 88th minute.

As for Rivers parking the bus, that is ridiculous. It was an up-and-down game and both sides had a number of good opportunities, although Brooks had more of those opportunities.

That was before bh tied RL. Like I said before the team that finishes highest in the isl between MA and BH will get the spot. Right now BH is 3 points behind but BH has easier games remaining. But st Mark's could park the bus like the MA game and get a tie against them.

Sir it's just the harsh reality of the public and private high school sports in general. There are many silver spoons with a false sense of where they really stand. That all ends when you get to the next level. But people like to come on here and pump up their kids not really knowing the game or their kids true ability.

I'll give it to Rivers. It was a nice shot in the 88th minute. But if you count over driven long balls right to the Brooks keeper with PZ getting there late and hitting the goalie with a clueless ref not warning him as chances.....well then you might be delusional. Ton of kick and run. No build up through the middle. You can't honestly say that the game was back and forth on the ground. A lot of desperation clearances which led to a few counters but nothing super dangerous. On a bigger pitch players have the space to knock the ball around. I'm not talking about Rivers W/L record, I'm saying if Brooks had more space to knock the ball around, the game would have been in the Rivers end almost all game.
