The story was a about a predominantly minority soccer team being taunted. So yes the topic of racism is present. Of course you'd blame the liberals for taking it down that path since conservatives seem to think there is no racism in this country. Anyway, there have been many threads similarly derailed on this site - and how abut the "Turkey fans booo...." thread? It's nearly 600 pages of political/social blathering. Between the BTDT/BTNT/Perspective battles and then this stuff you have look hard to find the useful information on the site. With the 100s if not 1000s of political blogs and chat sites on the internet, why this one to get your political ya yas out?

One has to ask, why are reading this after 12 pages or the Turkey fans thread if the topic does not interest you or you don't feel there is any connection to soccer?

I am a liberal. This thread and the Turkey thread are clearly trolling threads baiting people to respond. If you are cutting and pasting links into athread thinking you are going to change anyone's mind then you are wasting your time. The OP probably doesn't even believe what he is typing, probably posting on both sides of the discussion, and is just trying to stir up !@#!@##@.

Post #8 asked the fairly benign question: "Does the old rhyme "sticks and stones" not carry any weight in today's world? Seems that could have been an important lesson learned."

Immediately following was this response: "Said the white guy who has never experienced racism."

That post by a typical trolling liberal.


BTW I always find the addition of links, articles and quotes rather interesting and educational. Opinions of anonymous posters such as yours above are strictly that - your opinion, nothing more. They really do not add much at all to the forum..... other than further evidence of the close mindedness of liberals.
